The On-Call Blood Glucose Visual strip is a thin, disposable strip with a chemical reagent system to semi-quantitatively measure glucose levels in capillary whole blood using fingerstick or venous blood samples. The glucose concentration is estimated visually by comparison with the color chart packaged in the strip box

Accuracy :
A clinical study was performed , comparing the ACON On-Call Blood Glucose Visual strips using visual interpretation to a laboratory reference method (YSI 2300 STAT PLUS Glucose Analyzer). When interpreted using the color blocks on the color chart, 95% of the readings fell within the correct concentration range corresponding to the reference value. These results showed 95% accuracy (91%-98% for Confidence Interval of 95%) for the ACON On -Call Blood Glucose Visual Strips.
This will indicated whether the patient is diabetic and if so the severity of diabetes in clinical terms.
